SI TANGGANG
In a small village, there lived a widow name Mak Talang and her son named Si Tangang. He was a handsome man, a very hardworking person and also obedient son. Every night, he always dreams of being rich well known throughout the village. He thought that, money can buy anything but in fact he did not realize that money cannot buy a happiness. One fine day, Si Tanggang went to sea shore and doing the same routine as a fisherman. At that time, a rich man who owned ships was attracted with Si Tanggang’s manner. He easily offered Si Tanggang a job to be one of the sail man for his ships and quickly he agreed with the offer without thinking it deeply. Before he started his new job, he firstly asked for a permissioned from his mother to live the family for life at sea. His mother was really hard to let him go, but in sake of his future, she gave the permission to let him grab the success but they made a pact that one day, Si Tanggang must not easily forget his mother and must do visit his mother frequently.
Later in the year, Si Tanggang became a rich person after the owner of the ships gave all the prosperity to him as Si Tanggang did a best job in evaluating and increasing company’s profit drastically. He was also being offered by the rich man to marry his daughter named Aliya, who was really beautiful woman. Even though, Si Tanggang got rich and beautiful wife, but he never felt that was much. He was also did not visit his mother at the village and he had made his mother waiting for him every day. One fine morning, he brought his wife went to the sea to see the sea shells and scenery of of the sea. While having a nice panorama and view there, he suddenly saw an old lady walked nearer the sea shore and surprisingly that she was his mother. He bowed his head instead of staying away from his old fashion and poor moor mother. But, we as a human could not deny the fact that a mother would know her son or daughter. Mak Talang was yelling Tanggang’s name. she was really proud of him as he had already became a rich man as he wanted before but Si Tanggang was just ignoring her and asked her wife to go back home. He pretended to be a stranger in front of his mother. Mak Talang was really sad as his son was now had forgotten her. She looked at the sky and she said, “ Oh my dear God please show my son that I am his mother”

Suddenly,a lightning stroke through her son, Si Tanggang. Then he realised that he did a big sin towards his mother and he shouted for calling her mother’s name. But, it was too late and he,his wife and the ships were all turned to stone. So, moral of the story that I got from this story is money cannot buy happiness.
